The Institute for Multidisciplinary Research in Art (ICMA) at the George Enescu National University of Arts, Iași (UNAGE Iași), invites you to the launch of the volume Art and the Science of the Brain: New Frontiers in Neural Communication, which will take place on 29 January 2026, from 4.00 pm, in the Conference Hall at Casa Muzeelor (6 Vasile Alecsandri Street).

The volume brings together valuable contributions presented by professors, researchers, medical professionals, and artists at two scientific conferences: Neuroscience and Creativity: Neural Connections in Artistic Creation (2023) and Neuroplasticity, Cognition, Creativity: Interdisciplinary Perspectives (2024). Initiated by the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research in Art at UNAGE Iași, the conferences were organised in partnership with the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iași; the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași; and the Choreography Section Association, Bucharest, within the framework of the ICMA–UNAGE internal research grants, coordinated by Scientific Researcher Mirela Ștefănescu.

The publication of this book aims to provide specialists and interested readers with a timely interdisciplinary resource, and to encourage new collaborations and further research at the intersection of neuroscience and creativity. We hope that this initiative will inspire, open up new questions, and contribute to the development of an academic and human culture grounded in collaboration, empathy, and integrative knowledge.
